Creating drag image for a TreeView control

Would someone please point me in the direction of doing this the *correct*
way. I've tried the tricks that people used in VB 6.0 (with the ImageList
API, etc.) to no avail. I can't even seem to find out if
System.Windows.Forms.TreeView supports the same windows messages as the
TreeView control in the common controls used by VB 6.0.

I don't think I need hand-holding yet, just a friendly pointer.
Hand-holding may com later.
