Hello,

I'm trying to help someone create a distribution list but am faced with a
problem and am hoping someone here can explain/help.

I goto the contact pane, select New Distribution List and then click the
Select Members...

Then I get an error message and once I click the OK button the select
members dialog opens. Now when I click on the Show Names from the: combo box
'contacts' appears 3 times. If I select the middle one all is good and I get
a listing of available contacts, but if I select either of the other 2 I get
an error message.

I can't locate where these other 2 'contacts' are coming from, they do not
appear anywhere. I would like to delete them or at the very least know where
they are coming from.

any help is greatly appreciated,

QB

Posted here often. You can easily delete invalid references to Contacts
Folders from the Outlook Address Book interface. Method depends on your
version which you neglected to post. Find a post than matches your version
and read it.
