Hi, we have a lab of computers where a number of users can use each computer
at any given time. They all have their own account in a Windows Server 2003
domain/active directory environment.

What we want to make happen is that when any of those users logs on to any
computer in that lab, the computer will use a default user profile for that
user. So we want those computers to have only one profile. By default Windows
creates a new profile for each new user that logs on. We don't want windows
to create these profiles, we want to use one profile because it eats to much
drive space.

Also we don't want to use a roaming profile. Any suggestions? How do you
stop windows from creating a new profile when a new user logs on?

Thanks!

This is already built into Windows. You start by creating a profile
that is exactly the way you like it. You then copy it to the "Default
User" profile folder, using the copy function available in theControl
Panel / System applet.

From now on, every user who logs on for the first time on this
machine will get your own default profile. Users who have logged
on before won't be affected.

Thank you but this does not do what I want. If I do that then I will have
multiple profiles that the same setting but what want is just ONE profile.
