Creating AVI file

I am using Logotech ImageStudio version 7.3.0 & using
their Quickcam express camera thru an USB port. I run the
program sucessfully and want to record about 3-4 hours of
video. There is plenty of harddrive space on the computer.
When I tell it to stop recording I should be able to
create a file about 3 GB in size. However the computer
will not save a file larger than 998 MB. This seems to be
true no matter was OS: XP, 2000 Pro, WIn98 SE. How can I
increase the size of the file to be created?
