Creating and/or Burning a CD-DVD

I have a Sony DeskTop Model RX770 with a DVD-CD Burner.
My problem is that either I misplaced or lost my Sony
Manual and I don't think Sony will send me another one.
Since I have this Hardware and I'm able to duplicate or
create a CD-DVD, what I need to know is how do you do it.
If anyone can give me some advise or assistance, I will be
most grateful.
