I wonder if something is broken about my vs 2008 pro installation?

I create a winforms project, and when saving it the 'create directory
for solution' check box is checked. But while the project is created
(vb) there is no parent solution evident in the solution explorer. The
file system shows mywinapp with a sln and suo file, and the expected
project folder...but I don't see it in the solution explorer that way.
And I cannot find a way to add a second project to what is supposed to
be a solution, but looks like a single project.

Cool! Thanks...and once the solution was shown, did that enable a new
File menu option to Add...where I can now add a new project to the
solution? Or was that there and I missed it before?
