I am running Vista and have Outlook 2007. I can't auto reply because I have
a hotmail email account so when I try to create a rule, the "create a rule"
option is grayed out. Any suggestions?

You can set an auto reply when you logon to the web based interface of your
Hotmail account.

Thanks, I had already done that but it doesn't work. I double checked and
made sure it was on and it is but it doesn't work.

Try it from a couple of different addresses. It could be that the reply got
filtered out. If it doesn't work for any of them you should contact Live
Hotmail support.
