how to create a restore disk

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to create a windows xp restore disk with
driers like the ones from dell and alienware so i dont have to reinstall
windows the long way if anyone can help me with creating a restore disk

Have a look at Acronis TrueImage.

For 30 days there is. After that, the trialware becomes useless and
you can't restore.

Cough up the bucks.

so if i use the trail i can make the cds but they wont work after 30 days and
the restore disk also wont work? so what do they install something onto ur
comp and then once u do the disk burn also put the files there. Also i
kinda wanna know if possible a step by step on how to do this I looked around
on the internet and dled some of the other software but my antivirus said it
was infected.

also can i download the trail create the disk and never use it again and the
disk will work fine even after the 30 days?

Right. The software won't work after 30 days unless it's paid for and
registered.

Buy some backup software (Acronis True Image is my recommendation) and
read the manual.

thanks for everything pd43 but just one more newby question once i get it do
i have to keep paying for my restore cd to work our can i get the software
then make a cd keep the subscription for a year then stop using it and my cd
will still work our does the cd only work as long as you got a subscription?

TrueImage is not subscription software. Once you buy it,
you can use it forever (or at least until one of its successors
has such tempting new features that you cannot resist
buying it . . .)

oyyyy i just got it and wasted money cause its so complicated. im sure its
just a few clicks of a button. can anyone please guide me to the right path.
all i need to do is make a image of windows with my drivers for my video card
motherboard and sound card thats it along with windows xp so i can do a fresh
install whenever i please. Thanks much peeps for being such a great help and
putting of with my dumb questions.
