create a price from drop down boxes

my host is easyspace, and i would like to create a price for my visitors if
they choose criteria from drop down boxes. easyspace offer mysql. does this
mean i have to sign up to their d/base or is there an option in FP.
p.s is there a tutorial anywhere as i am a complete novice in this area.

If you want this to be generated from a database then yes, you need to have
them set one up. Otherwise you can hard code the values into your select
box.
