I'm new around here, and use Outlook Express instead of Outlook, but maybe
an understanding of how it works in Outlook Express might help you. If not,
at least I took a stab at it.
In Outlook Express, I click Tools, click Accounts, click Mail, click
Properties, click Servers.
If the Password box has a password, then you already have a password for
your email account.
If the Remember Password box is checked, then you never had to reenter the
password, when accessing your account.
In order to force entry of a password, uncheck the check box, and remove the
value from the Password box.
The fact that you didn't get a response for over 2 hours might indicate you
came to the wrong newsgroup. For problems related to Outlook, try using a
newsgroup related to Outlook. This newsgroup is dedicated to problems with
security.

hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can set a
password for my mail accounts in windows XP?
As I am using office XP on my computer I also use Outlook!
But whenever I sign on to outlook I can choose any mail
account without using a password.
I can access every e-mail even if it's not for me then,
and i don't like the idea, that everyone can start the
outlook and can access every single e-mail in every
account. So please help.
thanks
