As i got no answer up to now i'm posting again looking forward...

I've only one physical disk with actually two partition (FAT 32) and will
add some more logical disks. And i would like to prevent to reinstall and
setup all my programs, sincerly i'm afraid of this amount of work .

Does anybody know a freeware for creating new partitions meanwhile the
system (Windows 98 SE) continues running?

I already downloaded Partitionmaker 7.0, but the demo does not execute any
action nor the division of free space.

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Bernd

Most likely, no. I don't think you can expect something like this
without at least rebooting the OS.

FIPS (http://www.igd.fhg.de/~aschaefe/fips/) used to work in the past on
plain FAT(16) partitions. Not sure if it supports FAT32.

Ranish Partition Manager will do what you need.

It does support FAT32.
FIPS is still being one of my favourites. :-)
