How to create new message in Outlook 2007 Trial version

I just activated my trial version. I have my pop server email account
successfully set up and am receiving mail.

However, I cannot reply to messages or even create a new email message.

Is this a limitation in the trial version or am I missing a step?

Thank you in advance for your advice

Are the icons to do so grayed out or not even visible? Most likely you
either haven't activated your trial version or it has expired (possibly
because it has been previously installed already).

I have the same problem. I installed the trial version (only a few hours
old), activated it, setup my server settings (the "test account settings"
test was successful), and the "new" button is greyed out/disabled, as is
Tools > Options. The only options available on the File > New submenu are
'Navigation Pane Shortcut...' and 'Internet fax...' (everything else on there
is visible but greyed out and disabled.

I'd love to try sending mail with this, but I am unable to do so (is this a
trial limitation?) I know that Outlook 2007 has not been on here before...

Oh, I can receive emails successfully (so at least I can check out the HTML
rendering )

You can contact Microsoft product support if you are having issues getting
your trial out of reduced functionality mode. Most likely you can't create
any new documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc... either.

Apologies for the slow reply.

It's weird, I tried Outlook 2007 again this morning and it works! I can send and test pretty much everything I want to test. Strange that I could not make it work on the day of install but...

...ahhh, unless I needed to reboot after installing, of course
