Is it possible to create a 'network place' from the command line? I
want everyone on our network to have a network place link to \
\ourdomain.net\share in their network places so they have access to
the root of our DFS store redily available. Is there any way to do
that?

Thanks

Mick

Mick.

Here's a couple of scripts to create a share in Network Places:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scr...5/hey0509.mspx

http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/.../msg00573.html

To use them:

Copy the code into a Notepad file
Click File menu & choose SaveAs
Surround the file name in double quotes including the extension (") Example
"Network Place Scrript.vbs"
In the File Types choose All Files
Click the Save button

I hope this helps,
