Chris,
That's a really interesting point!

(As far as I know) there's no way to actually do that.

Unlike the 'AllUsers' - 'Desktop' folder, to create icons that appear in
any user's desktop,

....and,

The 'All Users' - 'Start Menu' folder[s], to create a start menu of
shortcuts that appear in any user's 'Start Menu'

...there's nothing like that for the 'Quick Launch' area!

I think that you are going to have to settle for a Desktop shortcut
instead, that can be placed in the folder :

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop"

....and will be visible in any profile on your machine.

Umm...move the Quick Launch folder (or a shortcut to it) somewhere under
"All user"? Maybe in All Users-Start Menu-Startup? If it doesn't work,
this will...

1. Make a folder under All Users. Maybe name it "Quick Apps".

2. Populate it with shortcuts to whatever

3. Right click the taskbar

4. Select "Toolbars"

5. Select "New Toolbar..."

6. Browse to and select the folder you made and OK out.

dadiOH,
...but all users wanting to 'see' these shortcuts in a
'Quick Launch' bar, will all have to go through the process of choosing
:

right-click on taskbar > choose 'Toolbars' > 'New Toolbar' browse for
the folder called "Quick Apps" (as you called it).

That's not what the OP wanted, is it? He said he wanted an 'All Users'
'Quick Launch' folder (like the 'All Users' 'Desktop').

But what you are suggesting involves each user having to set up and
browse for the 'New Toolbar'

Albeit that the folder full of desired shortcuts had already been made.

I really don't think that is what he had in mind....

Once their user profile is created, they have their own Quick Launch
setup - I don't think you can put a new QL option in one place and
just have it magically appear for everyone. What you see in the QL
area is an existing folder created when the user is created.

All the QL stuff for users is just a folder here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\Microsoft
\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

You could put in the default user profile so that when new users are
created, they will automatically have it some QL icons.

Perhaps knowing now where the folder is that contains the QL shortcuts
will speed up your deployment.

Jose,
...of course, how dumb of me!

As "Jose" says, create your 'Quick Launch' icons and place them in the
folder :

"C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch"

...this will not have any effect on *existing* users however, but any
*new* user profiles that are created subsequently WILL have these QL
icons in his QL bar.

Hope this is sufficient as it's the nearest thing to what you asked for,
however.

If it is not, then, all I can suggest is as before ; use some desktop
icons instead which CAN be placed in a folder so that they are visible
to all existing users.

(Again, the 'All Users' Desktop directory is : "C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Desktop")

Hope this is of some help...
