create database for customer list

's Computer Specifications

I just need to know where to go to set-up a database for
my customer list where I can input their names,
addresses, phone numbers, and special occasions. Plus get
notified by my computer when the special occasions are
nearing.

I think with the alarm feature required that Outlook is perhaps the better
choice.
