I would like to create custom banners/backround that have a gradient effect.
If you look at the MS update site the top blue banner is what I would like to
do. I have FP 2003 and Ulead Photo Impact 11.

FrontPage shouldn't be used for trying to work on or create these types of
images. PhotoImpact on the other hand is a good tool to do it with.

When the banners you create are finished..you can import them into your
web..and then insert from there into a page.

If you aren't sure how to do this then start by looking in the help section
of PhotoImpact using the term gradient
