I connect to internet with telephone modem. For it I created a
DUN(dial-up network) which works fine. But the DUN's icon in the
activity bar (at the bottom of the screen) is very small and I am some
times oblivious to disconnect the line. Only when I pull out its menu
and click Status, I can disconnect manually. Also I finally found out
that checking "Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed" in
Internet Options (in CP) does nothing at least for Mozilla. (I am sure
Mr. Gates only wants to promote IE.)
Under these circumstances I want to create a popup query window for
disconnection. If that's very difficult if not impossible, I want to
keep the connection status window open and visible throughout the
session. Can someone tell me about the feasibility of such desires?
*Just for your reference:
If I use Netscape and additionally install Netscape Internet Service
plug-in software, it brings up a query window for disconnection at the
end of session. I suppose that it bridges the above Internet Options's
function and the termination of the browser activity. Perhaps somewhere
in the system there is a .ini file and editting it could realize what I
want?
