Hello,

I would like to create an image of my current hard drive
and put it onto a bootable CD. I have a touchy computer
which seems like it requires me to reinstall Windows XP
Pro every few weeks. I have even went the point of just
having Windows on it and still generated issues. So to
keep the installation time to a minimum, I would like to
install Windows XP Pro, all drivers, and some
software...create an image where I can just use this set
up CDs and watch it fly through installations. I am not
worried about the CD-Keys or anything like that as I want
to be able to insert it when asked (to keep compliant
with laws). Does anyone know of any Windows Software that
will create this kind of image? How does HP, Dell, etc.
generate their bootable disks? That is what I am looking
for...

Thanks in advance for your help!

Brad

A few examples of third party imaging software. XP does not have this
capability built in.
BootIT NG from Terabyte

Drive Image from Power Quest

Symantec Ghost.
