Get a CRC check when attempting to copy PST (can export folders) - other info:

- Event viewer says having disk errors (bad block) for the last week.
- Run Scanpst - gets error at end.
- Had to manually delete emails from Deleted folder instead of empty - error.
- Deleted a lot of old files/folders now under 2GB PST
- Ran a compress and chkdsk several times.
- Offline right now.
- Outlook was hanging with disk light solid before I did a lot of cleaning
up - am afraid to put online again

If your hd is bad you are left with using your backup, on a new hd

What version of Outlook?

If you have a bad disk, you are going to need to fix that or you will
continue to have problems with outlook (and other programs). You may be able
to fix it with the disk scan utility in windows.
