This one is weird. I never had problems with my Movie Maker so far. Now, when
i want to add or edit a text in TOOLS>TITLES AND CREDITS, no matter which one
I try, my application crashes. No warning, no error message, it just closes
instantly.

Since the last time I used Movie Maker, I have added some new codecs, update
my antivirus and add .net framework or something like that.

The only clue I have is the message in the event log.

Faulting application moviemk.exe, version 2.0.3312.0, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.114, fault address 0x00007e3d.

I can't figure what to do with that. I was able to import a video from my
cam, edit the size of the clips and remake a new video out of it. The only
one not available option is the text editing. Whether it is a new or older
project. Very weird! Please, help me if you can!

I would suspect the codecs.
What did you install?
Why did you install them?
Was it a pack or single codecs?
Have you tried system restore to before you installed these codecs?

I have installed Defiler Pak 1.20 http://hellninjacommando.com/defilerpak/
now they are at 1.22, maybe it is better?

I have installed DivX player and the most recent Winamp.

It has been awhile since the install of defiler pak, like few months ago.
kind of hard to undo.

Is it possible to reinstall Movie Maker 2 without taking the latest 2.1
version, something prior to that version?

I installed the version 1.22 of defiler pak and it got a little bit better, I
mean, it crashes a little bit later... then I deinstalled completly defiler
pak and out of the sudden, it seems to work fine. I guess I am lucky to
discover that. I hope I won't have any other poping problems but, so far, it
works fine now.
