I have a used computer that had windows xp. it crashed
and I had to borrow a friends xp disk to get it going
again. I ended having to format the hard drive and tried
to load my old windows 2000 in instead. the only thing I
could load is xp and it is not my disk I was using it to
fix my computer. How do I load the one I own, or let the
computer let me get to another operations program....help
I dont have 120 buck for this thing yet.

Boot to the XP cd. Follow the setup to the point where you Delete The
Partition. Now reboot and try to install 2000 normally.
