Crash on inserting attachments to Outlook outgoing e-mails

Everytime I insert an attachment to my outgoing Outlook e-mails outlook
crashes when I click on either a folder to open (in order to find the file to
insert) or just click on a file to insert - therefore I cannot insert any
attachments.
