Hi,
Last week, I downloaded and installed some updates for
XPpro. After this, my laptop started to crash at least once
a day. This morning it crashed twice in 1/2 an hour so I
decided to restore the system to the point it was before I
updated it, and try to find which update was causing my pc
to crash.
Well, my problem now is that the laptop crashed during the
system restore, and when I try to boot I got the following
message:
"Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt:
<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.
I tried to restart in Safe Mode but it doesn't work either.
My laptop is Compaq presario 701FR.
Please help!!!
Cheers,
Seb
