Recently my IE 6.0.29 has started crashing when I try to access sites I
access on a regular basis and never had problems with before. For example:
One page will load and as soon as it has loaded up completely I see a flash
of the fully loaded page and then I'm looking at my desktop, and there's
nothing in my task bar...IE has shut down. This has happened when following
links in emails, then, for some reason a couple times later, it'll work fine.
I've installed SP 1 for IE and that hasn't helped. FYI: my IE is part of
Win XP Pro. Can anyone help?

I would encourage you to install Microsoft's free AntiSpyware Beta
(http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx).
You may have malicious software installed without you knowledge that is
causing IE to crash.

I would also strongly recommend installing Service Pack 2 from
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/. Service Pack 2 has a number of
security improvements that you will benefit from as well as built in pop-up
blocker and Add-on Manager. For more details, visit
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx
