Hi all,

I have Dell Inspiron 9400 laptop with XP SP2. My computer crashes when I
remove it from AC power to start using battery. This doesn't happen all the
time but I would say 80%. The screen would completely go black. I just have
to keep the power button down for 10 seconds to reboot it. Please help me out
if someone has any solution.

Thank you.

the laptop battery may be
defective. it should act
like an uninterruptible
powersupply in the event of
an interruption of power.

go to dell's website and
check out the information
for your model number.

also, dell has a newsgroup
where their bored technicians
can respond to questions
like these
