There was a post recently (8/02) about CC adding the yahoo toolbar in
this upgrade.
Head over to www.ccleaner.com, click Download then click 'Other Builds'.
The slim version there is smaller, no toolbar and works fine here.

Adding the yahoo toolbar is an user-option during installation.

This is quite true. However, if you do a quick "clickthrough" install, you
might miss it and end up with......
........a Yahoo Toolbar.
Monitoring installs with Total Uninstall is a good idea to remove
"accidentally installed" components.
It's a pity Crap Cleaner has gone this route, but I suppose it defrays some
of the expenses.

Quite so, I always use Total Uninstall.
