hello all
I had this problem once with a cd rom, that during copying a file to
my harddisk the system was running high (icon of the task manager in
the task bar showed 100% cpu usage) but in the task manager the system
idle process showed more than 80%. a cd-rom driver update fixed this
problem.
but now I have the same problem with my second harddisk (matrox on
second ide). copying a fil of about 500MB leads to 10 min prox. copy
time and full CPU usage, but again the task manager shows up to 80%
idle process time.
I tried to update the harddisk driver. so fare no result.
I am running windows 2000 on a 1.8GHz athlon (asus board K7-V333)
anybody had the same problem?
