Hi.

Windows 2000 sp4 PC with latest updates.
Ran antispyware program for the first time and did a scan.
IT found some clara gain spyware which I removed.

After reboot you can no longer open the antispyware
program. The program hangs at the initial splash screen
and the cpu usage goes up to 100% for the
giantantispywaremain.exe process. This process can be
killed ok. Have tried removing antispyware and
reinstalling but same problem occurs. Anyone any ideas ?

jason

What you could try doing first is disable Microsoft AntiSpyware from the
Notification Area (right click the icon and click Shutdown Microsoft
AntiSpyware). Navigate to c:\program files\Microsoft AntiSpyware and delete
the error log. Go to Ad\Remove Programs (Control Panel) and the uninstall
Microsoft AntiSpware restart the system then install back MSAS.
