Thanks a lot the first post was no use.
I know I posted to a lot of newsgroups but couldn't decide which one was the
best to post it on since the problem contained bits of mantainence, hardware
& software issues!! and it was effecting my performance!!
Apologies for that.
Starting and Restarting the service seems to have done the trick.
