cpu fan speed

How do I increase my cpu fan speed,its only running at
2376 rpm.
My cpu is overheating bigtime,it was 85 c b4.
Its running at a steady 67 c now,hhmmmm
My cpu is xp 2400+

If the fan does not have a speed control then you need to buy a faster fan.

Hoiwever, if the fan is the original AMD fan, do not throw it away. It may
have the processor serial number on it.

the last time I checked 67c was cooler than 85c?????????????????????
But both are high...my 2500XP is running at 55c overclocked at full load
check the airflow in the case you might need to add fans
low front intake
high back outlet
this brings cooler air in and the back fan takes hot air out.
By keeping the air in the case cooler you keep your CPU cooler
By keeping the room cooler you keep the air in the case cooler

Thats sounds more like the chassis fan's rpm.

Are the CPU and chassis fans connecters on the right
headers on the MoBo?

Is their a brand or make on the CPU fan/heatsink?
