Hi

Does anybody know what sort of figure one would expect
for CPU % DPC time on a 677 MHz celeron computer with
256Mb ram running XP Pro. With no applications running my
CPU % DPC time hovers about 20% which seems excessive to
me considering the PC is doing anything. I have a
microsoft wireless mouse and a cable modem connected via
USB. Could these have anything to do with this?

Thanks

you can?

OK. The DPC % CPU time drops to 0 when I unplug the modem
and goes back to about 15 - 20% when I plug it back in.
Any ideas why the modem is using so much processor time
when I'm not browsing the internet. I've checked for
other applications using the net in the background but I
haven't found any yet. I'm virus and spyware free and
have Zone Alarm firewall installed. Any ideas much
appreciated.
