      17th Sep 2007
i got 2 cpus runing on the device manager but how i what remove one?

or is not a confict?


my Cpu is P4 3.00GHz

Hi:

Dio not worry that is normal. Just the Os detect your P4 as a double CPU. It
is fine.

Leave it alone, that's what shows for dual core processors.

To clarify the previous answer: Most newer P4 now have:

1) Two cores

OR

2) Hyper-threading

Which ever processor you have, Xp will now show your two processors
and this is normal.

and it not a 2 cores it only 1

Hyperthreaded CPU's show as 2 individual
CPU's per physically installed CPU.
