My Outlook was running like a dog and my CPU usage has been at 100% for 4
days. I downloaded all the suggested fixes and Process Explorer. The
program it shows there as a resource hog is ConnectionResource.exe. I am so
frustrated I am choosing between a rope and a gun at this point. Can someone
offer some advice? Thank you if so!

Are you sure about the spelling of that file, connectionresource.exe?
Google gives no hits, so if the spelling is correct, that's suspicious and
could indicate the presence of some sort of malware.
