i would like to get some ideas of how to write a cover letter and resume for
a professor position. I haven't have experience teaching.

This group doesn't deal with the *content* of your documents - that's up to
you... But I can readily prevent you from wasting your time - You don't
simply _apply_ to be a Professor unless you already *are* one. That is a
position which generally requires at the very least: experience, tenure &
[usually] a doctoral degree.
