I have pulled a CD-ROM drive out of my Dimension 8400 and now want to cover
up the drive bay. The part required is a little rounded plastic cover, but
Dell will only sell the entire front bezel for over $20+ship.

Any ideas on how I might get one of these little pieces of plastic...?

Go to the local Dell retail store and tell the manager you will never
buy another Dell product again unless he gives you the part free.

Alternatively buy it from Dell over the telephone and then when you
get it call them to return it (wrong part). Because it is under $25
they will take the charge off your card and tell you to keep it
because it costs more to process it than it is worth.
