hi all,

I am a user in Austria & have changed all the settings in the control panel
to Austria and German; however, it seems my computer thinks it is Swedish -
whenever I open automatically localized pages (e.g. google.com) it uses .se -
the Swedish country code - as a default. I have set and reset the settings in
the control, it continues to say Austria/German - any ideas?

Thanks!

Dear Central Power's User

Tools - Internet Options - General - Language. Put Central Powers at the top of the list.

11/11/1918 - you lost.

Open Google.com, and rightclick the page, then Encoding.

Thanks Mark,

but right-clicking the page does not offer encoding; as I mentioned in
another post, I use Netscape. Also, the problem is not restricted to Google.

Thanks anyway,
Axel

Germany, Austrian - Hungarian Empire, and the Ottoman empire (Turkey and the middle east)

You were the enemy in World War 1. Germany had to keep rescuing you. You mainly (Austria) fought against the Russians. Not to mention you started the bloody war, although everybody was waiting for an excuse.

Try reading help or ask Netscape
