Counting backwards!!!

Hello, my seaching was not working on outlook, so taking the troubleshooting
advice, I decided to rebuild my index. My comp has been working hard for
multiple hours and all of a sudden...it started counting BACKWARDS!
I don't know if it is un-indexing items or what, but I'll be pretty sad if
it is.
Any ideas?? Anyone?
