Yeah, they are and some persons have reported conflicts between it and
Microsoft AntiSpyware and internet connection issues.

I may be wrong but I get the impression that CounterSpy is more frequently
updated than MSAS.

I'm reasonably sure that you are mistaken, since the definitions for both
products come from the same source. I'm not sure that the definition sets
are identical, however. Microsoft is contracted to provide updates to
Sunbelt through July of 2007 by a contract which preceded Microsoft's
purchase of Giant.
