There are freeware solutions for you, look into those.
If you are really interested in keeping your system free from malware, post

I am not a cracker, thanks but no thanks. Here's the thing, some
freeware is hard to find, and then there is the "free-download" comeon
which comes sporting a bill. Comeon, have a sense of proportion, free
download is comeon, isn't that obvious?

Robb, I have found the freeware spyware programs -are not very
effective--where as avg is very good at virus protection-I had to pay the
$19 to get an effective spyware program-let me know if you find one--I could
not

There is no version of Counterspy that is free. If you check "giveaway of
the day", they offer 1 title free every day. There are freeware solutions
for you to choose from if you need something "free". Why don't you just
shell out the $20 if you want it so badly?

evils these days. Anti-virus programs rarely protect you from trojans,
