ok wen i put counter strike1 in the drive it comes up and says install and
wen i click it, it goes to preparing to install without the little green bars
on the botton then after a little bit it says "the windows installer service
could not be accesed. This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode,
or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. contact your support
personnel for assistance." if anybody knows anything please send me a comment
i can strongly use help

I don't usually see that problem in Windows XP.
If you're using another version of Windows, please try this solution:
