counter does'nt count and stop at "00001"

I installed frontpage extension in IIS 6.0. the counter works when I preview
my page in frontpage however the counter always stop at "00001", if I exit
frontpage or I browse my page on any computer.

how can I solve this problem?

Make sure the _private folder has "write" permissions enabled.

I had changed "write" permissions in IIS . it still doesn't work.

do I need to change other setting for this problem?

Don't manually change permissions, use the SharePoint Admin page under Control Panel | Admin Tools
to run a server health check and allow it to correct permissions.

I can't find admin tools in SharePoint Services Central Administration page.
do you know if I installed small business server, will sharepoint be
installed automatically? is it ?
where can I find the health check?

The option is only available if running the FP2002 extensions.

Which version of Windows Server are you running, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003?

Windows 2000, comes with the FP2000 extensions, Windows 2003 comes with the FP2002 extensions.

my server is small business server. I found fp2002 extensions, however I
can't find tha admin tools there. could you please show me the step to make
the counter works.

Not familiar with SBS, but when the FP2002 extensions are installed, you should a link to an HTML
page under Admin Tools in control panel.
