First, click Start, Settings, Printers. Click your printer to open it, then
choose Printers and click Set As Default.
Actually, if there's already a checkmark next to your printer when you look at
it in Start, Settings, Printers, that's enough. But PowerPoint insists that
you have a printer set as default.
Then start PPT and try printing.
If that doesn't help, uninstall the printer then reinstall it. I used to have
to do this a couple times a year in Win98 to keep PPT happy.
