I am trying to install W2KPro to a clean 120GB SATA
Maxtor. I boot from the CD, partition the drive, format
the partition, copy files, but when I reboot, I get an
error saying "couldn't open the boot partition to check
for a signature". The system then reboots from the CD. I
am stuck. Any suggestions?

hello there Darin

the problem you are experiencing is due to incomplete bios settings
please go to the bios and ensure that your hard drive(s) are correctly detected by your system
also check that your master/slave links are physically in the right places
and that your ide cables are correctly connected
if you get stuck there are plenty of sites that have help desciptions for this procedure

cheers
Arnie
