could it be a trojan?

      11th Aug 2003
current security setting prohibit activex controls on
this page. I virtually have no security on my
computer.disabled all firewalls.enabled all activex
controls i can find. norton is as low as it can go. i
can't get into my banking page or even sign up for
anything! someone please help. i've also done a full
system recovery nothing i'm doing is working. thanks

Try this:

Tools->Internet Options->Security->Custom Level

In this list, set the following:

ActiveX controls and plug-ins
Download signed ActiveX controls->Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls->Prompt
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe->Prompt
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins->Enable (or Prompt for greater security)
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting->Enable (or Prompt for
greater security)
Hit OK

This should do the job.
