Hi all. I am not able to ping any public ip address or websites but could
serve the internet. I disabled all firewall and antivirus software. Why is
this so? Thks in advance.

Some ISPs disable ping so their servers can't be used for
DoS attacks. Some websites disable response to ping so they
can't be brought down by a DoS attack.

try tracert, ask your ISP if they support the command.
