I have Outlook 2003 on Windows Vista Basic but when I tried making a
signature and clicked on Advance Editor, I get the usual response "This will
launch an editor not part of Microsoft Office Outlook. Do you want to
continue?" Then I clicked on Yes but receives this error message: Could not
find an editor for H (.) files. I have ticked on Use Microsoft Office Word
2003 to edit email messages. How do I remedy this?

The Advanced Editor launches your default HTML editor which you can set in
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs

I already had Microsoft Word as the default HTML editor in IE7>Internet
Options>Programs tab. The other two selections are Microsoft Excel and
Notepad. I had MS Word selected when I had encountered this error.

What happens when you set it to Notepad?

I had the same problem with Windows Vista trying to run Outlook 2003. I got around it as follows.

Open a New Message in Outlook.
In the Menu Bar that includes Send on the left side, there should be an Options button.
Click on the arrow button located just to the right of the Options button.
Click on the Email Signature button.
Alternative, you can also highlight the email signature of a new message and right-mouse click.

You can create a new email signature right there by block copying it in from the outside. You can also edit existing signatures there. It seems to work better than using Word's HTML editor, too.

I hope this helps everyone else. My signature now includes my updated business logo created as a .jpg file.
