Could not enable interrupts on connected port device \Device\PointerClass0

Hi,
We have Siemens ID mouse on USB port on Win2k SP4 machine.
We have the following error in EventViewer after reboots:
Could not enable interrupts on connected port device \Device\PointerClass0

Source: Mouclass Event ID: 9


The mouse itself works ok but I'm suspecting that because of this error, the
application that uses the ID mouse crashes at random times.

Any info will help, thanks!

Humm, does the motherboard give the usb port an IRQ?

Yes, at the USB Universal Controller is IRQ 9 assigned.

I just noticed I have the same problem.

I have the wireless Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite and m
event log is full of these messages for both the keyboard and mouse.

Could not enable interrupts on connected port devic
\Device\KeyboardClass1.

Could not enable interrupts on connected port devic
\Device\PointerClass1.

Any ideas?
