That's not what MS said. They said it would be free to all legitimate owners
of MS XP. Based on MS's recent behavior if you get automatic updates you
might get is automatically (g). I would accept the fact that it will be free
and wait for when it becomes available from them. This will be later this
year.

They have said there will be a beta 2 which will look and be different from
what we are seeing so far.

I would be surprised if that few betas in a big program like this is all
that there will be.

If the beta is working for you within its limitations stay with it and try
out the next beta when it arrives.

Beta testing is not easy and you have to be prepared for failure.
