I get a "corupt cab file" message when trying to install CA' eTrust antivirus
program. Can someone give me advice on how to fix it?

Thanks a lot,

Sounds like the download or installation has been corrupted
due to another antivirus program running .
Uninstall any AV currently installed and then download the
setup package from CA again.

Thanks Mow, I uninstalled Norton 2003 (it says successfully) but when I go to
add/remove and try to remove remaining programs I get "We have determined
that you still have some Symantec applications registered with LiveUpdate.
You should not remove LiveUpdate unless all Symantec applications have been
uninstalled first." This is a real sticky program that doesn't want to let go.
Any other help you can offer me?
Thanks,
ghanerlid

Norton as the virus ... interesting.
Use this tool to remove the remnants . There's also a link for manually
checking to see that the beast is finally totally off of the system on
this page, too :
