Hi,
2 days ago, IE7 installed itself. I rebooted and when I did, something
about language showed up at the left of my system tray. I closed it and
proceeded to use the computer as usual. The problem is that whenever I right
click on an icon in the tray, the taskbar menu comes up as well, ususlaly on
top of the menu for the item I clicked. I have tried going into the taskbar
properties to refrsh them, and have reboted, but nothing is fixing it.
What's the solution?

Thanks very much in advance!
sue

Simple solution. That's the language toolbar. Go to Control Panel |
Regional and Language Settings, and in one of those windows uncheck the box
to display the language toolbar in the taskbar. Ok out.

I was able to turn off the language bar right away by right clicking on
taskbar and unchecking language bar. I didn't go into the control panel fo
rthat. my problem is the task bar menu keeps popping up when I right click
on an item in the system tray.
Thanks!

Sue,

I have been able to deal with the problem in two ways.

1.) By playing around I discovered that if I right-clicked on the same
icon a second time, the task bar menu would disappear but the menu for
the particular system tray icon would stay up. Not perfect, but it's
livable.

2.) I opened up IE after a reboot tonight and was prompted to download
IE7 for Windows SP2, and now the problem is gone.

Hope this helps ...
